Her run continued unbroken for a grand total of four hours and 18 minutes while playing with a friend at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

After that, Patricia palmed the dotted cubes and proceeded to throw of the dice with her run of luck continuing unbroken over the course of the next four hours and 18 minutes.

The secret winning

Patricia, a Denville New Jersey native, never revealed her winning total. What is known is that she bought into the game for $100, and anyone employing even the most moderate betting strategy would at a minimum see a return of 50 times their original stake.

After having lost on the 155th roll of the dice, the casino staff greeted her with a complimentary champagne toast. Borgata officials confirmed Patricia had broken the previous record by one hour and 12 minutes. The previous record of three hours and 6 minutes, set on the 28th of May 1989 by Honolulu resident Stanley Fujitake while playing in Las Vegas, stood unchallenged for nearly 20 years. That was before Patricia’s run of luck demolished it.

She was just a beginner

At the time Patricia admitted to feeling a little overwhelmed since this was only the second game of Craps she had ever played. By the time Patricia managed to tear herself away from the casino, an early evening had turned into a fresh new day. Despite not having much experience, Patricia hung onto the dice and Lady Luck for more than four hours. This is remarkable considering craps is the type of game where Lady Luck often dictates whether you lose a substantial amount of cash or go on a winning streak.

Craps is the type of game that none but the highest of the high-rollers can usually sustain play for more than one hour; she did it for 4 hours 18 minutes! Anyone who has, in their lives, never played the magical game of Craps should overcome this huge hole in their current online entertainment experience as soon as possible.

It allows the convenience of playing from anywhere, with your gaming sessions transitioning seamlessly from PC to Mac or your favourite mobile device.

In the end, both Patricia and the casino staff preferred to keep her winning amount a secret, and to never reveal her total winnings. She eventually crapped-out rolling a dastardly “7”, she, however, did reveal one of her future plans, and that was to treat herself and her grandkids by splurging out on a trip to Disney World.

A New Jersey woman, playing crapsfor only the second time, set a record for thelongest craps roll — 4 hours, 18 minutes, the Associated Press reports. It saysPatricia Demauro, of Denville, N.J., pulled off the feat at the Borgata Hotel Casino& Spa in Atlantic City, N.J., this weekend.[3]

Demauro, who lives in Denville, New Jersey, set a record over the weekend in AtlanticCity for the longest craps roll – four hours, 18 minutes. She blew away the oldrecord set in Las Vegas almost 20 years ago by an hour and 12 minutes. Demauro isa little stunned by it all since it was only the second time she’s played craps. She bought into the game for $100, quickly amassed a cheering crowd, and more thanfour hours later was given a champagne toast.[4]

The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City said Pat DeMauro, of Morris County, bought into the craps game for $100 Saturday and held the dice for four hours and18 minutes, besting the the three-hour, six-minute world record that has stood unchallengedsince May 28, 1989, The Press of Atlantic City reported Monday. DeMauro said therecord-breaking game was only her second time playing craps.[5]

There was finally some encouraging news to report. A Denville woman walkedinto the Borgata Hotel casino & Spa at around 8:30 PM. When she left the craps table, the night had turned to a new day. Patricia Demauro picked up the dice and beganplaying craps and she kept rolling, and rolling, and rolling. When she finally passedthe dice to another player, over four hours had elapsed. That set a new record forthe casino, which claims the old record was three hours and six minutes. “This wasonly my second time playing craps,” said Demauro, “so this was very exciting forme to be part of history.” It was also exciting for the groups of people that watchedher play, cheering her on with each roll, 154 of them in all.[6]

Patricia Demauro hung on to the dice for four hours and 18 minutes, shattering theprevious record by one hour and 12 minutes. As a cheering mass grew, Demauro keptLady Luck on her side despite not having much experience. “This was only my secondtime playing craps, so this was very exciting for me to be a part of history,” saysDemauro, who lives in Denville in northern New Jersey.[7]

Luck sure was a lady to Patricia DeMauro of Denville, New Jersey. DeMauro thoughtshe’d try craps, for the second time in her life, on Saturday night. She startedrolling the dice and stopped four hours and 18 minutes later. In a game that mostplayers can’t sustain for more than an hour, her win has been compared to a perfectgame in baseball, but rarer.[8]

A player Saturday night at an Atlantic City casino set a new record for continuousplay at craps, holding the dice for over four hours. Patricia Demauro went on aserious roll, taking the dice and casting them without losing for four hours andeighteen minutes.[9]

Officials at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City said the woman boughtinto the craps game for $100 on Saturday. She then proceeded to make the 154 rolls, spanning 4 hours and 18 minutes, before failing to make her point by rolling thedastardly “7” and crapping out. Neither the casino nor DeMauro declared how muchmoney she won during the streak. She did state this was only her second attemptto play the craps tables, and that with her winnings she was going to take her grandkidsto Disney World. The casino treated DeMauro and her friend to champagne, dinner, and a free room to further celebrate her run on the table.[10]

The previous record for longest craps roll was held by Stanley Fujitake, of Honolulu,at 3 hours and 6 minutes, and it took place May 28, 1989, at the California Hotel& Casino in Las Vegas. DeMauro said Sunday night it was only her second time playingcraps. She was at the Borgata with a friend who offered to teach her the game. Theywent to a $10-minimum table, and her friend and another woman quickly lost theirturns.[11] The AP says the previous record was 3 hours, 6 minutes set nearly 20years ago at a Las Vegas casino. The AP says Demauro bought into a game for $100at 8:13 p.m. and quickly drew a cheering crowd until she “sevened out’ about 12:31a.m. – after 154 rolls of the dice. Neither Demauro nor the casino would disclosehow much she won during her marathon.[3] The previous record was set 20 years agoin Las Vegas — DeMauro beat it by an hour and 12 minutes. Neither Borgata nor DeMaurowould say how much she won but she did disclose how she’s going to spend it — takingher daughter and three grandchildren to Disneyland.[8]

Borgata officials said that bested the previous mark of 3 hours, 6 minutes set nearly20 years ago at a Las Vegas casino.[12]

The previous record, set in Las Vegas, is twenty years old and was over an hourshorter. That had been set by a Honolulu player in Las Vegas.[9]

Honolulu’s Stanley Fujitake had the old mark of three hours and six minutes whenplaying in Las Vegas. “This was only my second time playing craps, so this was veryexciting for me to be a part of history,” said Demauro, who lives in Denville innorthern New Jersey.[13] Demauro bought into a game for $100 at about 8:13 p.m.and quickly amassed a large crowd of cheering supporters. When she eventually “sevenedout” around 12:31 a.m., after 154 rolls of the dice, she was greeted by Borgatawith a champagne toast. “This was only my second time playing craps, so this wasvery exciting for me to be a part of history,” she said. The casino would not disclosehow much Demauro won during her stretch at the table.[14] Demauro began play shortlyafter eight at night at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa. She didn’t stop untilhalf past midnight, at which point the house saluted her with a champagne toast.A dealer from a neighboring casino said he had wandered through on his way home, when he saw a sizable crowd at the craps tables. “I joined them, and found she hadbeen going already for more than three hours. The pit bosses were saying it mightbe a record, and she played for an hour after that,” he remarked. Demauro says sheis new to playing craps, having only tried the game once before, and she had beginner’sluck.[9]

I got on a roll and just kept going for about four and a half hours — and I waslearning the game as I went along, DeMauro said. Most of the men that were therewere really excited because I was bringing them good luck. DeMauro, who declinedto reveal how much money she made from the game — she said only that it was a goodnight — said Borgata officials approached her after the end of the hot streak andtreated her and a friend to Dom Perignon champagne, a free meal and a complimentarystay at the hotel. Borgata spokeswoman Noel Stevenson said that while the GuinnessBook of World Records does not list dice-shooting records, such accomplishmentsare recorded by several gaming organizations. STOKE, England, May 25 (UPI) — ABritish woman who bragged of her happy marriage on Facebook has admitted to fraudulentlycollecting welfare benefits for being a single parent, officials say. Dealers at craps tables keep track of how long each shooter holds the dice, andthe surveillance cameras can confirm it, Borgata spokeswoman Noel Stevenson said.Although the Guinness Book of World Records has no section for shooting dice, severalgaming organizations keep records of such events, Stevenson said. Even though DeMauro”’slucky roll must have cost the Borgata a bundle, the casino was more than happy abouther streak. ”’We are very excited to have hosted this moment for Ms. DeMauro andhave our property be a part of this historic event for the gaming industry,”’ saidJoe Lupo Sr., vice president of operations for Borgata. I was at the table right nextto patsy and she rolled great. I see the comment about how much did the dealersget? Well considering all the money on the table and 1 of the dealers screwing upthe payouts and the effort of the borgata box man trying to hit the dice with hishand so she would 7 out. There lucky they received the $1,000 I tipped them. Twoof the dealers were really good 1 was totally out of his element, but seeing 3 boxpeople was crazy they tried everything to slow up those dice and to cause aggravationbut like i said SHE STUCK IT TO THE MAN. The truth is we all had a great night andno matter what type of distraction they threw at her she just kept rolling the dice. She had ice in her veins there was no rattling patsy, KARMA it was all about KARMA.[11]

”’I”’ve visited Borgata many times. and I always have a lot of fun.”’ DeMaurodeclined to reveal how much money she and her friend won during her streak, exceptto say, ”’It was a good night.”'[11]

Even with all of the outside distractions, the Borgata was pleased that Demaurobrought some positive exposure to the city. The casino did not reveal how much shewon while playing for over four hours, but it was just the excitement that keptpeople watching.[6] Ms. Demauro’s roll lasted four hours and 18 minutes and in termsof time also eclipsed Stanley Fujitake’s record length of three hours and six minutes(118 numbers rolled).[15]

How Much Did Patricia Demauro Win

Saturday was a record-setting night for a novice craps player at an Atlantic City,N.J., casino.[2] A North Jersey grandmother entered the record books over the weekendafter a lucky streak at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City.[8] Atlantic City casinoshave been on the downswing for over a year now. Their revenue figures that werereleased for April produced a decrease that created panic among many casino owners.[6]Atlantic City desperately was in need of some good press. Their casinos have beengetting hammered because of the economy, and it seems like nothing but bad luckhas been occurring in the city.[6]

The total number of rolls by Demauro without relinquishing the dice was 154. Thecasino would not say how much she won. [9] DeMauro said it was exciting to play.”’It was really a great table to be at, great vibes from everybody,”’ she said. When her lucky streak finally ended, Borgata staff came to take her picture andserve Dom Perignon champagne, DeMauro said. They treated the pair to dinner andoffered them a complimentary suite, which they”’ll use on another visit. ”’Thiswas very exciting for me to be a part of history,”’ DeMauro told the Borgata staff.[11]

The previous craps world record was 3 hours and 6 minutes, and it stood for justshort of 10 years as it was set on May 28, 1989. While the Guinness Book of WorldRecords does not list craps records, there are several gaming organizations thatdo collect and report such gambling feats. [10] The achievement occurred last Saturdayand broke the previous record that stood for nearly 20 years.[13]

The manager called police and Jones was found by officers and arrested within hours, investigators said. VANDALIA, Ill., May 25 (UPI) — A 70-year-old Missouri womanwho received a heart transplant in 2001 said she lived a lifelong dream by skydivingin Vandalia, Ill. Judy Kaufman of Chesterfield said she jumped out of a plane at11,000 feet Sunday at the Archway Skydiving Center with her husband, two sons andgrandsons looking on from the ground, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Monday. It was the most exhilarating thing I’ve ever done, Kaufman said after her tandemjump. Kaufman, who lived with heart disease for 10 years before receiving her newheart in 2001, said she is not finished skydiving and hopes to jump with her teenagegrandsons as soon as they are old enough. People have to know that transplants givepeople a second chance to live, she said. [5] Hooray for the lucky lady. I onlywonder why if this was her second time playing craps, what did she usually playbefore then? Could it have been the slots? If so, why did she choose to try a newgame? Could it have been because no one ever wins ANYTHING anymore playing slots?[11]

18 Pass Line Wins

Estimated Table Win – $750,000

Notes: Mr. Fujitake is now deceased. This Record is undisputed and is confirmed bythe Marketing Department at Boyd Gaming, owner of the Calfifornia Hotel property. The number of rolls, number of Pass Line wins and the total table winnings is alsoconfirmed at the Las Vegas Museum of History, which was at one time located nearthe Gift Shop at The Tropicana. Legend, however, has it that the total winningsmay have been as high as $1,200,000 and the the bulk of the winnings were not madeby the original players at the table, but because the roll was so long that wordspread to heavy hitter players who were at Binion’s Horseshoe who had ample timeto take a short walk to The California to cash in on this gold mine. Reliable sourcescomprised of long time craps veterans in Vegas state that within the next day orso the table was taken out behind The California, chopped up into little piecesand burned. SO MUCH FOR LEGEND… The Bone Man, author and developer of this website, took it upon himself to check all of this out and in 2006 interviewed a floorpersonat The California who witnessed most of this famous roll. It was stated that theroll began in the late portion of the day shift and into the swing (night shift)and that when the day time shift bank was counted down the total table losses wereonly (compared to the $750,000 stated above in blue) $175,000. Very little elsewas paid out on winnings after the table bank audit according to this reliable source. The floorman also indicated that the original table is still there and was nevertaken out to be chopped up and burned. It is also interesting to note the numberof rolls (118) which very closely matches the still running Roll-A-Thon at the FremontCasino, also in Downtown Las Vegas, where the longest roll of record without a 7is 117 as stated by a reliable dealer there in May of 2007 and that promotion hasbeen running for about 5 years and is the only known record tracking promotion ofit’s kind.
